These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Northwood Home website, including any purchases made through the website.

Throughout these Terms, “Northwood Home,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Northwood Home. “You” and “your” refer to the person accessing the website or purchasing our products.

By visiting our website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and all policies referenced here, including our Return & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the website.

1. Eligibility

You must have reached the age of majority in your province, territory or country of residence to place an order. By using the website, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, current and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Products and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, measurements, materials and colours accurately. However, colours may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting and device settings.

Products made from natural materials—including wood, stone, marble, leather and natural fibres—may have variations in grain, texture, colour, pattern, knots or veining. These variations are part of the material’s natural character and are not considered defects.

Measurements are approximate. Before ordering furniture, you are responsible for confirming that the item will fit through doorways, hallways, staircases, elevators and its intended location.

We may modify or discontinue products without notice. Product availability is not guaranteed until an order has been accepted and processed.

3. Pricing and Payment

Unless otherwise stated, prices are displayed in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, duties and additional services will be calculated or disclosed at checkout.

We reserve the right to correct pricing, product-information or typographical errors. If an error affects an order you have placed, we will contact you before processing the order. You may confirm the order at the corrected price or cancel it for a full refund.

Payment must be completed using an accepted payment method. You authorize us and our payment providers to charge the total amount shown at checkout.

Promotions, discount codes and special offers may be subject to additional conditions and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Unless otherwise stated, promotional offers cannot be combined.

4. Orders

An order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order but does not guarantee acceptance. We reserve the right to limit, reject or cancel an order for reasons including:

• Product unavailability
• Pricing or product-information errors
• Suspected fraud or unauthorized activity
• Payment authorization issues
• Delivery limitations
• Orders placed for unauthorized resale

If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.

5. Made-to-Order and Customized Products

Made-to-order, customized and personalized products are produced specifically for you. Once production has begun, these orders cannot be changed, cancelled or returned unless the product arrives damaged, defective or materially different from what was ordered.

Production and delivery timelines are estimates and may change because of material availability, manufacturing or transportation delays.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Available products are generally prepared for shipment within five business days. This timeframe does not apply to made-to-order products. Delivery time depends on the destination, product size, carrier availability and shipping method.

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we expressly confirm otherwise in writing. We are not responsible for reasonable delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, supply interruptions or circumstances outside our control.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, telephone number and delivery instructions. Additional charges may apply if:

• The address or delivery information is incorrect
• No one is available during a scheduled delivery
• A second delivery attempt is required
• The item cannot be delivered because of access or size restrictions
• Special handling not included with the original service is required

Unless expressly included, delivery does not include assembly, installation, removal of doors or railings, moving existing furniture, disposal of packaging or removal of old furniture.

Risk of loss passes to you when the order is delivered, subject to applicable consumer-protection laws.

7. Inspection and Damaged Deliveries

Please inspect your order promptly after delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact info@northwoodfurniture.ca as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours.

We may request photographs of the product, packaging, shipping label and visible damage. Please keep the item and all original packaging until the claim has been resolved.

If we confirm that an item was damaged on arrival, defective or incorrect, we will arrange a return at no cost and issue a full refund to the original payment method. A replacement may be offered when available.

Damage caused after delivery by improper handling, assembly, installation, use, storage or modification is not considered damage on arrival.

8. Returns and Refunds

Returns are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

Eligible products may be returned within 15 calendar days of delivery, subject to the item-specific conditions in that policy. A 20% restocking fee applies to approved standard returns. Return-shipping costs and non-refundable delivery or service fees may also be deducted from the refund.

The restocking fee and return-shipping charges do not apply when an item is confirmed to have arrived damaged, defective or incorrect.

Made-to-order products, customized products, opened bedding, gift cards and items marked “Final Sale” are not returnable except where required by law or when they arrive damaged, defective or incorrect.

9. Furniture Assembly and Use

You are responsible for following all assembly, installation, care and safety instructions provided with a product. Furniture must be assembled using the correct parts and hardware and used only for its intended purpose.

Do not assemble or use an item that appears damaged or incomplete. Contact us for assistance before proceeding.

To the extent permitted by law, Northwood Home is not responsible for damage resulting from improper assembly, installation, modification, misuse, neglect or failure to follow product instructions.

10. Personal Information

Your submission of personal information through the website is governed by our Privacy Policy. By placing an order, you consent to our use of your information as reasonably necessary to process payment, fulfill the order, arrange delivery, prevent fraud and provide customer support.

11. Intellectual Property

All website content—including text, photographs, graphics, logos, product names, designs, videos and layout—is owned by or licensed to Northwood Home and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may access and use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, publish, scrape or commercially exploit website content without our prior written permission.

12. Reviews and Submitted Content

If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content, you confirm that:

• You own or have permission to use the content
• The content is accurate and based on your genuine experience
• The content does not violate another person’s rights
• The content is not unlawful, abusive, misleading or malicious

You grant Northwood Home a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish and display submitted content in connection with our business and marketing.

We may remove submitted content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

13. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the website:

• For unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purposes
• To violate intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights
• To transmit viruses, malicious code or harmful technology
• To interfere with the website’s security or operation
• To collect information about other users without authorization
• To submit false information or impersonate another person
• To make unauthorized commercial use of the website or its content
• To conduct automated scraping, crawling or data extraction without permission

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

14. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may use or link to services operated by third parties, including payment processors, delivery providers and social-media platforms.

We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability or independent practices. Your use of a third-party service may be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

We make reasonable efforts to keep the website accurate, secure and available. However, the website may occasionally contain errors, interruptions or technical issues.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis without warranties beyond those expressly provided by Northwood Home or required by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any statutory warranty, condition or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northwood Home will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or purchase of a product.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim, except where a different remedy is required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Northwood Home harmless from third-party claims, losses and reasonable expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the website, violation of these Terms or infringement of another party’s rights.

18. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, labour disruptions, transportation interruptions, customs delays, government action, supply shortages, public-health emergencies or failures of third-party services.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers and complete or refund impacted orders as appropriate.

19. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website if you violate these Terms, misuse the website or engage in fraudulent or harmful activity.

Obligations relating to payment, intellectual property, liability, indemnification and dispute resolution will continue after termination where applicable.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

21. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.

22. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Return & Refund Policy and any other policies posted on the website, constitute the entire agreement between you and Northwood Home concerning your use of the website and purchase of our products.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Any dispute will be submitted to the courts located in Ontario, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to our business, services or legal obligations. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Changes apply from the date they are posted and do not retroactively change the terms applicable to an order already accepted unless required by law.
